Spain has always been a country renowned for wonderful football, producing technical, skillful players and some of the greatest teams in football history.  Sir Stan had a tremendous respect for Spanish football and counted the great Real Madrid players Alfredo di Stefano and Ferenc Puskas amongst his close friends.  It is a real honour therefore to partner with CD Isoba, a club based on the outskirts of Madrid, and to carry on Sir Stan's relationship with this great footballing city.

CD Isoba was founded in 2014 to discover, nurture and develop emerging talent in Spain.  Focusing on players aged 16 - 19 years old they have quickly established a reputation as a club which produces great players and currently compete in the National League, which is only one level below the Division of Honour and where the U19 teams of Real Madrid, Atletico and Barcelona compete.

While it is an impressive feat for a relatively new club to climb so quickly up the ranks, what makes CD Isoba so remarkable is that they were formed to work with the underprivileged communities of northern Madrid and that all training sessions, kit, match travel and all of the other expenses associated with playing organised football are provided to the players completely free of charge.  Drawing on the working class, largely immigrant community of 'La Sierra' they are a club which is garnering attention, with players being scouted by clubs as distant as the U.S.A.

CD Isoba is a club with the benefit of the community at their core and it is an honour for the Sir Stanley Matthews Coaching Foundation to work alongside and support such a great organisation.
