F.A.Q.

- Sounds great - how much does it cost?
It is a great course and it is completely free of charge! Our aim is to inspire people to do great things and we believe that you can't do that if you're asking them for money. We have therefore taken the decision that there would be no financial cost to the people participating. However, all participants must agree beforehand to:

-
complete the course within 6 months.
-
participate in 20 hours coaching at a professional or semi-professional club on a voluntary basis
-
sign a code of conduct before starting the course, whereby you agree to engage fully with the programme and abide by the rules of the course at all times

This is a unique opportunity to work with inspiring and interesting people who have your best interests at heart and who want you to succeed in life. Having a chance to work alongside experts of this calibre, gain qualifications and high level coaching experience is a valuable opportunity which you can receive at no financial cost to yourself but we only want people taking part who will commit to putting something back into the programme something which is much more valuable than money - their commitment!

Where and when does it start?
Currently we are running programmes in the following locations:

-
Leeds (in partnership with Farsley Celtic F.C.) JUNE 2021
-
Carrickfergus (in partnership with Carrick Rangers F.C.) JULY 2021
-
Larne (in partnership with Larne F.C.) SEPTEMBER 2021

Further course dates and locations will be added in due time.

What happens at the end of the course?

When the course is concluded you will sit down with our staff and decide what to do next. One of the Foundation values is taking ownership for your life and your decisions so this is an opportunity to put that value into practice. You might be inspired to start a disability project for kids in your community, or a youth club or maybe even a football project for street kids in Uganda. Or maybe you'll decide to go to college or back to school. Whatever you decide, we will advise you how to make that dream a reality. You'll still need to do it but we'll be behind you all the way.

Sounds great - but what's the catch?

There isn't one. This is a great opportunity. You'll be expected to work hard, give up your free time and be committed to the programme but, if you do, you'll enjoy it, you'll make good friends, meet interesting people and gain some great experience which you'll be talking about for years to come. If you just want to gain a couple of free coaching qualifications then it's probably not the course for you. If you want to make a difference in your own life, the lives of those around you and make the world a better place (and sport is the way to do it) then you're who we want to hear from!!

How many places are there?

Places are extremely limited. This is a popular course and it will fill up quickly. If you want to take part then apply now! If you're not successful first time round we'll add you to the waiting list and catch you next time round. If you really impress us with your application form though, we might just create an extra space for you so that we don't miss the opportunity to work with you!

How do I apply?

You can apply by filling in the form at the bottom of the page and sending it back to us or by applying online here.
